Punta Azul Beach Resort is located in Balaoi, Pagudpud in the province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines. It is right in the middle of Maira-ira Cove, popularly known to locals and tourists alike as the Blue Lagoon because of its spectacular aquamarine waters.

Maira-ira Cove is a paradise of powdery white sand, invigorating South China Sea breezes, verdant mountains, interesting marine life, fresh seafood, and friendly locals. While Pagudpud has been heavily promoted as a tourist destination of late, Maira-ira Cove remains a quieter and more relaxing destination in Pagudpud compared to Saud Beach, far to the west, where the majority of resorts and tourists are concentrated.

To a lot of people, Maira-ira Cove is still the hidden treasure of Pagudpud, waiting to be discovered an Eden at the northern tip of the Philippines.
